Other Videography Companies

Taking Video Shot of Cake

We have discovered throughout the years that our situation was not unique. Videography services are usually the last in the list of many soon to be married couples. Many times, couples simply decide on hiring a video professional if they realize they have some money left over in their wedding budget. Many times couples really go out of their way to even lowball videography companies. We would know since this has happened to us on numerous occasions. But we would not be honest if we said that we did not feel any bit of resentment towards these couples at the time. Our initial reactions were these people looking to take advantage of us. Even in all of our video experience, there were some people who we went out of our way to please as well as give significant breaks in their packages. But instead of them appreciating all of our efforts, they instead would look for more ways to exploit our generosity and asked for more without giving any further compensation.

Capturing Happiness on Video

This is definitely some of the risks that come with being in the wedding videography business. So why would in the world would we ever wish to be in such an industry? One, we are normally the last priority for most weddings. As a result, some couples even try to lowball our company in order to fit our videography services into their Orange County or Los Angeles wedding. And even after we do go out of our way for them by either working out some type of financial break or providing a little more than what they can afford free of charge, some couples show little or no appreciation and continue to even ask for more from us. So again, why do it? I guess for me, I remember when I married the love of my life and how happy and stressed and tired and delusional I was during that day. Call me sentimental. Call me corny. It doesn't matter. Because seeing and capturing another couple celebrating the most important day of their lives together with their friends and family is really something that can't be explained. Knowing that we are recording something that they will share with their friends and families and future generations is very humbling and at the same time makes us feel truly honored.

Eternalizing Moments in Video

Although it does not happen all of the time, but the many times that it has happened makes videography worthwhile. What am I talking about? I'm talking about all of the times when we hear the couples tell us how much they love their wedding video. I'm talking about all of the times when we hear how thankful they are for our video service. I'm talking about all of the times we hear from other clients who were referred to us by their friends and family who tell us that all their friends keep talking about is their wedding video. These are the moments that make everything worthwhile. Not to mention, to also be apart of their once in a lifetime ceremony and celebration makes us realize how lucky we are to witness and capture such an event. In a way, we truly are eternalizing something very important and precious. To be honest I don't even know if those car makers even make limousines. As you can see we were really able to cut costs. Because we had kept our costs down significantly we actually did have money left over to hire a videography vendor to videotape our wedding.

In addition, perhaps it is not only these rewards that motivate us. Maybe it is also our convictions and beliefs. To quote Luke 22:27 Jesus said, "For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves." Also in Matthew 20:26-28 Jesus says, "But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." In Christianity, it is believed that Jesus is the king of all kings and the lord of all lords. Yet if this is true than how can someone so powerful come to serve rather than to be served? Well, the concept is actually pretty simple. It's just like a president or any government office isn't here to be served but to serve the public. We believe our videography service is a way of serving our fellow brothers and sisters no matter what their religious or non-religious convictions may be. Our organization is here to serve and keep alive these memories.
